The Department of Psychology at Penn State (http://psych.la.psu.edu/) is recruiting (rank open) for a psychologist to participate in the Psychology-Women's Studies dual degree graduate program commencing August 2015. The ideal candidate will hold an advanced degree or graduate specialization in women's studies/gender studies as well as psychology and have a research program within one of our core areas of graduate training (adult or child clinical, social, cognitive, developmental, industrial/organizational). The ideal candidate will also participate actively in the Department of Women's Studies, probably as a joint-budgeted faculty with a minority appointment in Women's Studies. We welcome candidates who can contribute to one or more of the cross-cutting emphases within our department: Culture and Context, Neuroscience/Biological Bases of Behavior, and Applied/Translational Research. Rich opportunities exist for collaboration within the department and across the campus. Applicants who can contribute to an overarching department initiative to enhance diversity and our understanding of diversity are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates are expected to have a record of excellence in research and teaching, and a history or promise of external funding.
